Content Editor/Sports Specialist

Nancy Kapitanoff is Julien's Auctions' Content Editor, responsible for editing Julien's Auctions' media and publications. Nancy began with Julien's in 2016 as a consultant and cataloguer on the "PELÉ: The Collection" auction. She will also continue to assist Darren in the Sports Department.

She is the producer, director and writer of "Before Babe: The Women Who Changed Golf," a short documentary on women golfers of the early-20th century, which screened at film festivals in 2013 and 2014. She is the co-producer, co-director and co-writer of the short film documentary, "Out of Infamy: Michi Nishiura Weglyn" that received a Special Jury Mention at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.

She served as Coordinating Producer on the 2011 PBS American Masters documentary, "Woody Allen: A Documentary." She also wrote, produced and directed the short film documentary, "The Comet Model News," which won the Best Short Documentary Award at the 2006 Winnipeg International Film Festival.

As a Los Angeles-based freelance writer, Nancy has written about independent and foreign films for various publications including Tower Records' "Pulse!" Magazine, the Directors Guild of America's "DGA Magzine," and the Writers Guild of America's "Written By" magazine. Kapitanoff was also a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times "Valley Life," "Westside" and "Art Notebook" sections.

Kapitanoff began her career as an Editorial Assistant at KNBC-TV News in Los Angeles, followed by serving as Senior Researcher for Bruce Cohn Productions, which produced two HBO Documentary series, "Time Was..." and "Remember When."

Kapitanoff has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UCLA.
