Hurtling across the universe to the blockchain comes a virtual symphonic canvas of music and motion, color and light. Conceptualized and composed in Ringo Starr’s latest studio in the metaverse, “The Creative Mind of a Beatle” is the first NFT collection created by one of the Fab Four. 
Starr’s visionary artistic and musical styles take center stage in these striking digital paintings, adding the title of NFT original artist to the beloved pop culture icon’s ever-growing, multi-hyphenate body of work.
These collection pieces feature an original animated painting with an exclusive custom-made drum composition recorded and played by Starr – with his legendary drumming style striking to the beat of the moving images flashing throughout each NFT – and minted with a special audio/visual motif of the time back when Starr played in the greatest band in music history, as well as signposts of his present and future creative journeys. Each NFT is accompanied with a 25” x 25” canvas print signed by the iconic musician/author/philanthropist/painter with ownership of the NFT granting access to join Starr on an exclusive virtual tour of the groundbreaking digital gallery experience, RingoLand. “I only ever wanted to be a drummer yet you never know where a new idea or path will lead you,” said Ringo Starr. “This new technology is so far out it's inspired me and I loved creating these NFTs combining my art and my music. Each NFT (Non-Fungible Token) offered is a limited edition of 1-of-4. Five unique NFTs, each consisting of 4 for a total of 20 NFTs with their accompanying canvas print per NFT in the collection. An NFT is a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on the blockchain.

This auction comes on the eve of the embarkment of Starr’s highly anticipated first national tour with his All Starr Band kicking off May 27th after a two year postponement due to the pandemic (during which Starr released two Eps Zoom In and Change the World) as well as the announcement of the Celestial Edition final print release of his recent retrospective best seller, “LIFTED: FAB IMAGES AND MEMORIES OF MY LIFE WITH THE BEATLES FROM ACROSS THE UNIVERSE,” published and sold exclusively by the print division of Julien’s Auctions, who also published Starr’s previous limited-edition retrospective hardcover book, “RINGO ROCKS: 30 YEARS OF THE ALL STARRS 1989-2019.”
Julien’s Auctions has broken world records with the sale of Beatles memorabilia including John Lennon’s acoustic guitar which sold for a record $2.4 million, Ringo Starr’s Ludwig drum kit which sold for a record $2.2 million, The Ludwig Beatles Ed Sullivan Show drumhead which sold for a record price of $2.1 million, and The Beatles White Album owned by Ringo Starr that sold for $790,000.
