Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) - the ultimate destination for Hollywood memorabilia auctions – have unveiled our exciting initial lineup with some of the most famous and instantly recognizable pop culture artifacts ever to come to auction. The year-end auction event will take place live Thursday, December 14^th, Friday, December 15^th, Saturday, December 16^th and Sunday, December 17^thin Beverly Hills and online at JuliensLive.com.

Kicking off this four-day Hollywood spectacular curated by the renowned auction house together with Hollywood’s most revered purveyor of classic movies, will be their “Robots, Wizards, Heroes, & Aliens: Contemporary Hollywood Auction” presentation. The sale will feature props, costumes, models, memorabilia and beyond from some of the most iconic characters of film and television’s most popular science fiction, fantasy, action and superhero franchises spanning from the 1950s to today’s modern new classics. The two-day presentation kicks off with a special evening session and will include items celebrating “100 Years of Warner Bros.” offering exclusive artifacts, ephemera and more from the legendary films produced by the storied Hollywood studio.

The most iconic and beloved alien of all time will be at the center of this celebration with the offering of an original hero mechanical animatronic E.T. head created by the legendary Carlo Rambaldi and as seen throughout Steven Spielberg’s, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. TCM and Julien’s previously sold a full E.T. animatronic model for over $2.5 million dollars.

This sale will feature one of the most famous and legendary robots of all time, Model B-9 “The Robot” from the pioneering science fiction series of the 1960s, Lost In Space. One of only two full-scale figures that were made during the show’s three-year run, this is one of the rarest artifacts from the era ever offered at auction which also is still functional.

In continuation of “100 Years of Warner Bros.” year-long festivities are items from the biggest Warner Bros. film franchises of all-time: Harry Potter and Batman. An original screen-matched, special effects Headmaster's robe worn by Richard Harris as "Albus Dumbledore" in the film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, his gold-tone glasses as well as wands from all of the major characters across the wizarding world will be offered.

Director Tim Burton and actor Michael Keaton were the modern-day dynamic duo that brought the Batman franchise back to life from its early comic book incarnations in the late ‘80s.

Julien’s and TCM are thrilled to present a stunning and newly restored Batman costume worn by Michael Keaton in Tim Burton’s, Batman Returns.

Also on offer is a collection of never-before-seen original paintings by Tim Burton, created early in his career, including an original work featuring Batman’s arch nemesis in “The Joker Steals Christmas”, painted on a large 20x28” canvas and housed in a red and white, candy cane-style frame.

“Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate!” uttered by Jack Sparrow in the legendary series of fantasy supernatural swashbuckler films, Pirates of the Caribbean. Included among Julien’s and TCM’s first-to-market treasures is an incredible pair of circa 1740's hero, screen-matched, non-operational flintlock dueling pistols used by Johnny Depp as "Jack Sparrow" in the film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

From the Caribbean seas of the 18th century, Julien’s and TCM venture into the to the vastness of space in the 22nd century with chilling items from one of the most critically acclaimed films of the genre, Alien, whose iconic logline “In space, no one can hear you scream…” changed science fiction forever.

One iconic set piece that evokes that style and futurism of the timeless film by Ridley Scott is the original "Mother" (MU/TH/UR 6000) Nostromo computer console with seat, designed by Ron Cobb. The console appears during crucial moments in the film, when Dallas (Tom Skerritt) and later Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) interface with the corporate computer. James Cameron’s sequel, Aliens, is also represented with an Alien Warrior Xenomorph special effects head.

Back on Earth, “Avengers, Assemble!” with an incredible selection of props from “The Infinity Saga” of the MCU, including three iterations of Captain America’s shield and two iconic Iron Man helmets, the Mark II and the Mark 46 including:

Another iconic robot from the ‘70s and ‘80s is this Twiki costume - the sidekick to Buck Rogers and voiced by legend, Mel Blanc – was worn in the television series, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
