The man needs no introduction if you've ever watched television or saw a movie in the last 70 years, but to use an overused expression, he was an icon of the entertainment industry.

Reiner's list of credits is too extensive to name here, but a few highlights of beloved projects that he was responsible for include: The Dick Van Dyke Show, Gidget Goes Hawaiian, The Thrill of It All, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, The Jerk, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Ocean's Eleven (and Twelve and Thirteen), plus countless guest appearances on television shows since the beginning of that medium, and in film for most of the 20th century and into the 21st.

There will be 120+ lots on offer from Mr. Reiner's Estate including numerous scripts, awards, books from his personal library, items related to his perennial popular Dick Van Dyke Show, movie posters, and never-before-seen photographs. Of special interest is a note Reiner himself typed up circa 1960 to advertise the sale of his house in New Rochelle, New York. The significance of this note being that it references the suburban home where Reiner lived with his family when he was a young comedy writer in New York -- the time in his life which he used as the inspiration for the "Rob Petrie" character on The Dick Van Dyke show. Other highlights include a large collection of film stills from Reiner's 1969 cult classic film, The Comic, his award from The Television Academy Hall of Fame, and his American Comedy Award, among countless other treasures.
