PROPERTY FROM THE ESTATE OF MARY PICKFORD AND OTHERS TO BE AUCTIONED AT THE BEVERLY HILTON IN LOS ANGELES Mary Pickford Original Oil Painting from "Pickfair" (Est. $6,000/8,000) The Golden Globes is home to The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills and now Julien’s Auctions has taken up residence hosting a series of auctions including an upcoming sale featuring property from the Estate of Mary Pickford, Marilyn Monroe, David Cassidy, Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix and many more. Recently Sotheby’s with Julien’s Auctions conducted the Collection of Cher sale at The Beverly Hilton grossing over 3.5 Million. The sale begins online November 10th on juliensauctions.com and will conclude live at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on December 16th, 2006. The highlights of property from the 70’s career of David Cassidy will tour The Hard Rock Cafe London (November 14th – November 24th), The Hard Rock Café New York (November 28th – December 1st) and Circa 55 in The Beverly Hilton hotel, Beverly Hills, CA (December 11th – December 15th). David Cassidy will personally accompany the world tour of his highlights to all three venues.   John Hart Mask from "The Lone Ranger" (Est. $2,000/3,000) “Property consigned by The Estate of Mary Pickford is a large portion of the sale” says Darren Julien, President/CEO of Julien’s Auctions. “These items include memorabilia and fine and decorative arts that graced the Pickfair Mansion for decades” Julien further states. Highlights from the Estate of Mary Pickford include an original inscribed copy of “The Fun Of It” to Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks from Amelia Earhart (Est. $5,000/7,000) and an original life-size oil on canvas painting of Mary Pickford. This work was commissioned by Pickford and features two shadows which represent her two great loves - legendary film star Douglas Fairbanks and her long time husband, Charles “Buddy” Rogers. According to those close to her, this was her favorite painting of herself and hung at the top of the stairway in the Pickfair Estate for several decades (Est. $4,000/6,000).   Judy Garland Camel from “A Star Is Born” (Est. $1,000/2,000) This sale also includes more than 400 items from Hollywood and Music’s greatest legends such as a black satin sleeveless gown worn by Gloria Swanson in “Sunset Blvd” in 1950 (Est. $3,000/5,000), a leather eye mask worn by John Hart as he portrayed the Lone Ranger during the 1950s consigned by John Hart (Est. $2,000/3,000), a tan leather vest worn by Clark Gable in his portrayal as Guy Langland in “The Misfits” (Est. $3,000/5,000), a tan buckskin Native American shirt having affixed fringed neck piece together with a leather shoulder pouch worn by Jimmy Stewart in “How The West Was Won” (Est. $2,000/3,000) and an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Oscar award presented to Robert Rosen Productions for “All The Kings Men” (Est. $30,000/$40,000).  Marilyn Monroe Unpublished Photograph and Negative from “The Jack Benny Show” (Est. $1,000/2,000) No sale would be complete without property from the life and career of Marilyn Monroe. Included in this sale is a photograph collection unparalleled to any other collection ever brought to auction. Highlights include unpublished photographs with the original negatives of Marilyn backstage of The Jack Benny Show (Est. $800/1,200 per lot) and a series of original black and white images from The Estate of Andre de Dienes, famed Marilyn Monroe photographer to be sold at no reserve. For the sport fanatics, a two page handwritten letter composed by future basketball star, Michael Jordan, in his hand to then girlfriend Laquetta, dated May 1st 1981. In part reading: “Laquetta, I would love to stay around you for the rest of my life. Maybe, someday it will come true.” The following year, he accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of North Carolina and scored the winning basket in the NCAA tournament (Est. $1,000/2,000).   Jimmy Stewart Buckskin Shirt From “How The West Was Won” (Est. $2,000/3,000)  Golden Globe for "Shogun" (Est. $2,000/3,000) Appropriate to the venue, Julien’s will sell an 1980 Golden Globe award, gold painted solid metal globe mounted on marble with brass plaque reading: “Shogun/Best Television Series Drama/1980/Hollywood Foreign Press Association/#8150.” The ten hour mini-series which starred Richard Chamberlain won three Golden Globes and was among the most expensive television production of its time (Est. $2,000/3,000) Included among the 400 additional highlights are:
