CASUAL DRESS A tan and white striped sleeveless cotton dress with tan trim around the neck and back of arms, an elastic waistband and a back kick pleat; worn by Marilyn Monroe on May 23,1957 when she met reporters in Washington, D.C. to discuss husband Arthur Miller's contempt of Congress trial; live black and white footage from that day was also shot where MM can clearly be seen wearing this dress; slight staining evident; two Christie's tags still pinned to garment as they were originally intended to be sold there in 1999. ESTIMATE: $3,000-$5,000 Included are reprinted images of Marilyn Monroe wearing this dress.
