Raquel Welch

A group of diamond and 14k yellow gold engagement rings worn by Raquel Welch during her marriage to actor and restaurateur, Richie Palmer. The group comprised of:

A fancy square-cut (cut-cornered square modified brilliant) diamond weighing 2.00 carats, mounted in 14k gold, ring size 4, weighing 2.13 grams, with GIA certificate 10135913 dated May 21, 1997 stating that the diamond is D color, SI1 clarity.

A pear-shaped diamond weighing 1.00 carats, mounted in 14k gold, ring size 4, weighing 1.76 grams, with GIA certificate 8678443 dated November 7, 1995 stating that the diamond is E, color SI1 clarity.

A round-cut diamond, gauged to weigh approximately 0.25 carats, mounted in 14k gold, ring size 4.25, weighing 1.34 grams, graded as E-F color and SI clarity insofar as mounting permits.

An emerald-cut diamond, gauged to weigh approximately 1.00 carat, mounted in 14k gold, ring size 4.25, weighing 1.96 grams, graded as E-F color and SI-I clarity insofar as mounting permits,

Each stamped 14k MJS for M & J Savitt, in a M & J Savitt presentation ring box.

Welch and Palmer, both who had been previously married with children, first met at a party in 1996. Their friendship later blossomed into a romance, and the pair were engaged by 1999. Welch said of their meeting, “I was fascinated when I met him... I thought he was an actor because he was really handsome, and I thought, "Oh, God, this is never going to work because he’s an actor. I’m an actress so I know. I can’t have two of this going on."" Welch and Palmer were married until 2004, when the pair announced their plan to separate.
